the Lord longs to be gracious to you

As warm Florida sun shines down this morning through my patio cover I am keenly aware of my Heavenly Papa’s presence. I have no Bible in my hands or prayer on my lips. I am content to simply be with Him – to sit together and drink my coffee.

I am so very aware of my brokenness and sin. My failures as a broken vessel and yet He reassures me that He is bigger than all my failures.

I feel the crushing weight of leading a ministry to reach a people group so separated in their sins. Tears well up in my eyes and He reminds me that this is His ministry, these are His plans and He will call His own to Himself.

I am refreshed and empowered to enter my day yielded to Him directing my steps as I look at my to do lists and calendar. I am freed by the truth that my whole being is solely dependent on Him and not on my failures or successes.

Isaiah 30:18 “Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion…”

Take an extra 5 minutes at lunch today to sit with your Daddy and enjoy your Creator, King, Savior…Friend. What else is more important?…
